01 — Accepting these terms
By signing up, you agree to this page.
When you create a HelperTrack account, install the app, or use the service in any way, you’re agreeing to the terms on this page. If you’re using HelperTrack on behalf of someone else — a household you manage, an employer, a family member — you’re confirming you have their permission to do so.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the complete agreement between you and HelperTrack Technologies Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “HelperTrack”). If anything here conflicts with what we’ve said elsewhere, this page wins.
02 — Who can use HelperTrack
Adults running a real household.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law. HelperTrack is built for households with paid helpers — cooks, nannies, drivers, caretakers, housekeepers — in India, and we don’t support business or commercial use through this product.
A helper is welcome to use the helper-side app for their own work, even if they don’t pay anything; their account is created by the family that employs them, but the data on it belongs to them as much as to the family.
info
Workplaces & agencies are not supported on consumer HelperTrack. If you run a staffing service or a residential building with shared staff, write to business@helpertrack.in for our pilot.
03 — Your account & the helpers you add
Your home, your account.
You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. If you add a helper to your home, you confirm that they consent to being added — HelperTrack will then send them an SMS so they can claim their own helper-app login.
Adding a helper to HelperTrack does not create an employment relationship with HelperTrack. The helper is your employee or contractor under the law, the same as before. We’re just the record system you both use.
If you and your helper disagree about something logged in the app — an attendance entry, a payment, a note — the app keeps the full history visible to both sides. We don’t arbitrate that disagreement; that’s between you.
04 — Subscriptions, payments & refunds
One helper free. More than one, you choose a plan.
HelperTrack is free for one helper, forever. If you need more helpers or the Pro features, you can subscribe monthly or yearly through Razorpay. Prices are in Indian Rupees and include GST.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them — cancellation is one tap inside Settings → Plan & billing, and takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You don’t lose your data when a subscription ends; you just step down to the free plan’s limits.
Refund policy.
Within 14 days
Full refund, no questions.
If you’ve just subscribed and changed your mind, write to billing@helpertrack.in within 14 days.
After 14 days
Pro-rated on request.
We’ll refund the unused part of your current billing cycle if the app has been substantially down or unusable.
Annual plans
Pro-rated by month.
Cancel anytime in the first 6 months for a pro-rated refund of the unused months.
Cash & transfers
Not handled by us.
HelperTrack records the payments you make to your helper; we don’t move that money. Disputes about the actual payment are between you and your helper.
05 — How you may use HelperTrack
Use it for what it’s for.
You agree to use HelperTrack only for managing your own household and your own helpers’ work, in compliance with Indian law. To keep things simple, here are the things you specifically agree not to do:
- Don’t use it to mistreat or coerce a helper.Don’t threaten withheld pay, lock helpers out of their own records, or use the app to surveil them outside their working hours.
- Don’t enter false records.Made-up attendance, fake payments, or planted notes are a breach of these terms even if the helper hasn’t noticed.
- Don’t scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the app.Including using it to build a competing service or training data set.
- Don’t upload illegal content.Including content that violates a third party’s privacy, intellectual property, or the law of India.
- Don’t try to break our systems. No probing, no abuse of API endpoints, no flooding our servers.
report
If we believe an account is being used to harm a helper, we may suspend it immediately and contact the helper directly using their helper-app number. We’ll explain afterwards.
06 — Your data & content
Your records belong to you.
Everything you enter into HelperTrack — attendance, pay, meals, tasks, notes, helper details — is your content. You’re responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and for making sure you have the right to enter it (for example, that the helper has agreed to share their address).
You grant HelperTrack only the permissions we need to run the service for you: to store the content, sync it between the family and helper apps, render it on your devices, and back it up. We don’t use your content to train AI models, share it with advertisers, or repurpose it for anything else. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
The app itself — the design, the code, the HelperTrack name and logo — belongs to us. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use it while your account is active.
07 — What we don’t guarantee
We promise care, not perfection.
We work hard to keep HelperTrack accurate, fast, and available. We can’t promise it’ll be perfect. Networks fail, devices crash, and occasionally we ship a bug. When that happens, we fix it quickly and tell you what we’ve done.
The legal version
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, HelperTrack Technologies Pvt Ltd disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, free of harmful components, or that defects will be corrected.
08 — Liability
If we mess up, here’s the cap.
If something goes wrong because of HelperTrack — the app loses a month of records, or it’s down for two weeks — the most we can owe you for that, in money, is the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months (which on the free plan is zero). We’d still do whatever we can to make it right, but legally the cap holds.
The legal version
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, HelperTrack’s total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to the Service, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹5,000. In no event shall HelperTrack be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data.
shield
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under Indian law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
09 — Suspension & closing your account
You can leave anytime. So can we, in rare cases.
You can close your account from Settings → Delete account. We’ll remove your data on the timeline described in the Privacy Policy. If you’d like a copy first, export it from Settings → Export.
We may suspend or close an account if we have a reasonable belief that it’s being used to break these terms — particularly the “don’t mistreat a helper” rule. We’ll tell you why and give you a chance to respond, unless doing so would cause more harm.
If HelperTrack itself shuts down, we’ll give you at least 90 days’ notice by email and inside the app, and we’ll make sure you can export your full record before then.
10 — Changes to these terms
Material changes get 30 days’ notice.
We’ll update these terms occasionally — to reflect new features, regulatory changes, or feedback from users. When we make a change that materially affects your rights, we’ll send you an in-app notice and an email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and we’ll keep the previous version linked at the bottom of this page so you can compare.
If you don’t agree with a change, you can close your account before it takes effect — and we won’t charge you for that final period.
11 — Disputes & governing law
Indian law. Bengaluru courts.
If something comes up between us, the first step is always to write to us — support@helpertrack.in, or grievance@helpertrack.in for formal complaints under the DPDP Act. We try to resolve things within 14 days.
If that doesn’t work, these terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
